The contents of the PEP Journals and books can be browsed volume by volume as if on a library stack by: the "Table of Journals". But it is the Archive's searching ability that makes it truly special. Based on the latest version of the best text search engine on the market, Folio Views, it finds the information you are looking for at astounding speed. This state-of-the-art software is able to traverse the entire CD-ROM and pull out combinations of words in seconds. With search speeds this fast, researchers can take their time developing their ideas as they navigate the literature. The disc's key features allow you, almost instantaneously, to:

SEARCH to find such things as how and when terms have been used; what authors have written on what subjects in what way, how key ideas have been received and even what sorts of dreams have been reported or what sorts of things are reported in clinical dialogue; Unlike many other products the PEP CD organizes search results by author's name in a standard bibliographic form. PEP has also designed a special subject-specific easy to use search template.

EXPORT your individualized searches and bibliographies to your word processing program or even email them to a colleague.

CHECK AND CROSS REFER with virtually instant access from a hypertext reference in one article to the actual source in another - provided the reference is to one of the six journals.

BROWSE the whole database in the comfort of your own home or office as if you were standing in front of the library stacks and leafing through to see what is there;

USE STUDY AIDS to allow you to mark passages you want to come back to, scribble your own notes on articles and to create your own index of articles on topics that interest you - just as if you had the paper journals on your desk but with the added advantage you can search your study notes and indexes just like you can the database;

PRINT AND CUT AND PASTE to make copies of key articles you'd rather read on paper or to add quotations direct from the database into the paper or lecture you are preparing on your word processor.

CUSTOMISE the way the disc works and displays to suit your particular needs - for instance choose the size of type or colours displayed, do a search of a search, add your own icons to the toolbar, etc.

SUPPORT : The CD comes with a specially written HELP file and with 60 Day Telephone Free Customer service and other options.
