People: Maxim de Sauma
Dr Maxim de Sauma MD, F. Inst. Psychoanal. has been the CEO & Clinical Director of the Brent Centre for Young People (Brent Adolescent Centre, London England) since the retirement of Dr. Moses Laufer, its former Director and founder, in 1996. He is a Fellow of the UK Institute of Psychoanalysis and a qualified medical doctor and psychiatrist. He is currently a Trustee of the British Psychoanalytical Society and one of the Company Directors of the Institute of Psychoanalysis, London, with specific roles as the Board representative at PEP and member of the Investment Committee. He also occupies the post of Head of the Child and Adolescent Department of the London Clinic of Psychoanalysis (Institute of Psychoanalysis). As a psychoanalyst he works in private practice with adults as well as children and
adolescents.
