People: Alice Brand Bartlett
Alice Brand Bartlett, MLS, is a training and supervising psychoanalyst with the Greater Kansas City Psychoanalytic Institute. She completed a masters in library science specializing in psychiatric and psychoanalytic information. As former Director of the Professional Library of the Menninger Clinic and the Menninger Professional Information Services, she provided literature searching and document delivery to mental health professionals throughout the world for more than 25 years. She has lectured extensively on mental health libraries and using the PEP database. She served as Chair of APsaA's Committee on Institute and Society Libraries from 1991-2006. Her publications include: " An Authors Guide to Psychoanalytic Journals," "Searching Multiple Indexes and Databases in the Behavioral Sciences: Which and How Many?;" "Comparison of Online Access to Psychoanalytic Literature" and "A Thesaurus of Psychoanalytic Concepts."
She served as a member of the original committee that investigated the feasibility of the creation of a digitized psychoanalytic library and joined the PEP Board as North American Representative in 1998.
